Trying to install a Rockville spare tire sub using high speaker inputs from the sub connector. The Bose system apparently turns off the lines I use as signal, a test meter shows them drop to zero voltage when I splice. Tried multiple connection variations but no luck. If I do a hot swap the sub works, but on restart there is no voltage on the amp signal leads. Frustrating as all he'll.

Has anyone gotten this to work, if so how?

I cut the factory connector off and spliced in the wires to the pigtail that came with the NVX spare tire sub. Since the SVX required a separate 12 volt power wire, the need for high level in from the factory harness wasn't necessary. There are pics on other threads showing which pairs of wires to use for the Bose sub harness for use with the powered sub (i can't remember which pairs).
Sounds great with the adjustable bass knob, once you get the active noise cancelling and "enhanced" motor noises turned off.
