There is a very poorly thought out clip under the rear guard that I can only assume is part of holding the rear bumper on.
I have a set of 305’s on the rear with a wider fitment and it looks great. The coilovers are set low and the car looks and handles just amazing. I have no other scrubbing other than this one clip.
I do hit the clip sometimes over dramatic bumps or under hard acceleration. Despite having trimmed the plastic back further to allow a little more room.
Now I understand this clip is likely important and that it’s only and issue for me because I am wide in the rear and lower. Having said that, I have seen much lower cars and air bags etc getting lower.
Has anyone had success with removing or replacing this clip to clear the room for a tyre.
I can only imagine others will have this issue in future if they have not already.
