There is no airflow in the place where this trim piece goes on the OEM grill.

Used this method for years with my Miata…lifting by the pinch welds. Sorry no pics with the Z on the lift. Able to do oil, differential and transmission fluid changes as well as brakes and tire rotations.

I use tilt lift and use a piece of rectangular steel tube (2”x1”)covered with a rubber strip that runs along the length of the pinch weld.
