What this all really boils down to is that I need to get into the paint and fabric dye business, if they can jack the price on the proto's that much for basically yellow thread and paint for the body & calipers, and bronze paint for the rims.
I forget where I read it, but there will be no drop top as it weakens the over all structure too much with the strain the added torque will put on it. See Dom's story about his daddy's car in the original Fast and Furious.
Bought 2 at like 180 hoping it was mid spike and went to bed. Woke up to a huge drop and was hoping it would level out... Then life happened and I forgot to check for a few days. At that point it had tanked so hard I just didn't care anymore.

Couldn't agree more. My fiancee had a Model 3 and upgraded to a Model Y. The acceleration is fun but novelty of it goes away fast. You don't get that feeling of being connected with the road. Almost like you're ice skating. Getting back in my manual '12 GTI just feels... right.
