I posted about this in the "What did you do to your Z today?" thread but figured i'd make a separate post now that i've gotten my car back with a new engine and turbos covered under warranty.
What happened? I went to Sebring for the first time last month for my first track days of 2026...
A lap from this past weekend. Finally getting comfortable with the Nismo traction control mode. Honestly I don't think I needed to wait quite as long as I did before trying it but I figure better safe than sorry with that one. I think i left it on for this lap/session since it was first one...
Another great weekend at Road Atlanta. Probably turned around 55 laps the first day and 40 laps day 2 and the Nismo handled it all like a champ and drove me 2 hours back home when it was done.
Some video footage trying to keep up with fancy Porsches:
And here are my carbotech XP-12 brake...
Fun times at VIR. The Nismo held up well in some miserable heat. I did experience limp mode for one brief second on track during the first day but it quickly went away after I backed off for part of a lap.
Happy to report I made it home after a successful weekend on track. This was my third event with Chin Track days and first time at Road Atlanta. Great weather, and I was stoked to see some other Nissans at the event including a couple GTR's, a 350 and a 370. I even saw one of the new Z's for...
Been thinking a lot about brake cooling lately and was wondering if anyone had done anything with the newest generation Z. From my searches I've found one product that's for sale from Seibon that only attaches to their front lip and isn't very promising. I found a much more intriguing option in...
After getting some AMS lower downpipes and Mishimoto intercoolers put on, I decided it was time to fulfill another childhood dream and see my car on a Dyno. No tune yet but that's definitely on the agenda.
Amazing track. All three of my instructors have had nothing but incredibly positive things to say about the Z Nismo. (except when i mention the weight) I let the instructor drive it today around AMP and I'm a bit fuzzy on the specific comments but he was genuinely impressed with it. Spent a lot...

Hey y'all just got back from a weekend at VIR and i'm happy to report the carbotech xp-10 pads were great and held up all weekend. They are pricey, but I think they are worth the cost if you're going for a longer HPDE event. This weekend it was roughly 3 hours of track time per day with some...
Picked these up during their black Friday sale as a second set of dedicated track wheels. I was getting bored driving my Subaru more regularly since it's getting cold, so I figured why not just put some all season tires on for the next few months!

Hey y'all
So i'm here for my first track day event at VIR and have made a very critical error in not bringing an extra set of brake pads for my car. As you can probably guess, one of my front brake pads is now worn and needs replacement and i'm stuck here at VIR. I have called 4 Nissan...
