  1. Anyone driving their Z in the winter weather?

My wife daily drives hers. Not during the foot of snow day- but she’s back to commuting her 80 mile trek in her 6 speed. Tires are oem and they slip and slide in the summer, so same same in winter. My heritage is fair weather weekend only but with mods overpowers traction on the best of days...
  2. I bought a dealership

Thanks, I was just able to buy the Kyushu Heritage / Fairlady Orange with the photo book. If anyone wants it it’s still on Amazon with five left. $38.
  3. I bought a dealership

Hot wheels! They were all over a while ago - might be harder to find now. Also Autoworld brand sold a red one. Hot wheels were mostly blue and yellow. Walmart (yuck) and Kroger (mid Atlantic) had good inventory.
  4. I bought a dealership

    Ordered! Thank you! Great find!
  5. Rattle...

AWE sent me a second set of clamps - said if over tightened they will stretch. They said 50-55 lbs. that’s what I did with the first set, and they didn’t hold. I moved them closer to the end of the joint so they are further away from the solid pie and more on the part of the pipe with the slots...
  6. Rattle...

My AWE touring rattles - the tips are so large that they knock against the rear diffuser cut out. I’ve centered them twice now, changed the clamps with the AWE clamps that they sent as replacements, and torqued them to the recommended 50-55 lbs. pipes keep rotating back to the position where the...
  7. Any issues removing the front and/rear nissan badges?

Because my wife absconded with the first one and decided to use it for her daily. I work for NNA / Infiniti. I got a killer deal on the second one. Couldn’t resist. Unfortunately, hers is coming off its one year company lease soon - but I bought my Heritage so I’ll have it forever! That’s why...
  8. As a daily, would you go for a manual trans or the Nismo auto?

I have 2 Z manuals. The first one I got in Boulder Gray was going to be my weekend car. My wife decided she wanted it, which was surprising giving she commutes about 40 miles a day on a crowded traffic clogged highway. I was surprised she wanted to use a stick for that slog. She’s got about...
  9. Any issues removing the front and/rear nissan badges?

I removed the rear on both of my Zs - just a sticker with no locating prongs. I use fishing line as a saw to remove it. Then I remove the sticky part with Ardex or Goo Gone. Ardex is better but hard to get as they generally sell to dealers only. I put the removed Z on the crossbar inside and...
  10. Lane departure warning

You may be pressing the shortcut menu - on the wheel with 3 bars like a bulleted list - some call it the hamburger menu. Don’t use that one / settings won’t be in that menu - it is the one with the dash display as the first item and is not the menu you need for lane departure. Instead, use the...
  11. Downpipes & Best Practices

Never saw this before - thanks. Are they all the same size / thread pitch? I’ll give it a try.
  12. Downpipes & Best Practices

Mine was good with the LDP and the AWE touring. No lights / CEL. Once I put on the piggyback tuner from Stillen, the light started showing up. It’s seems to stay off untill you get on the power in one of the higher boost modes in the Stillen piggyback app.
  13. Downpipes & Best Practices

FYI - I replaced LDP with ISR and installed a Stillen piggyback tuner. AWE Touring exhaust. It throws a code / CEL. Seems to code mostly in more aggressive maps. I cleared the codes but these may be permanent write codes - that is, the light is off but a dealer can still see the code when...
  14. AWE Touring exhaust feedback wanted

I have the AWE touring exhaust on my heritage. It’s the only one I found that doesn’t drone at all on the highway. It’s not really very loud at all -and I removed the lower down pipes as well and it’s still pretty tame. You definitely won’t offend the neighbors as it’s quieter than I would...
  15. 2026 Z Performance Heritage

I’ve seen the 26 Heritage in person. I have a 25 Heritage (orange). If given the choice I would take the 26 and remove the twin turbo decals. The paint is really nice and pops in the sun. In the evening it does look dark, but the daylight really brings out the color. Even better than showroom -...
  16. Pics & Vids of Nissan Z with aftermarket wheels

Not sure if it’s true, but I’ve heard that powder coating can sometimes weaken the metals. I raced cars for a lot of years and once got rejected at tech for having chromed a set of wheels on my race car. (although, that was a vintage race car spoke Dayton wheels) I was told that the chrome...
  17. Pics & Vids of Nissan Z with aftermarket wheels

I have a Ford bronco that is sort of an ā€˜orangey’ red metallic (hot pepper red) and when I built it up, I put black rims and oversize tires. Regret it because you can’t see the nice wheels design - as you mentioned it just disappears. This Z heritage with all its black trim really screams for a...
  18. Pics & Vids of Nissan Z with aftermarket wheels

I have a heritage with the stock wheels on it now. I’ve read every page on this thread, so I have a good idea of what wheels I like, although my question is, should I go with silver, anthracite/gray, or black? I haven’t seen any heritages on this thread to see what they look like but I see most...
