Heat soaked won’t necessarily throw a code. Just pulls so much timing it will feel like a VW Hot V engines do not like sitting in the heat. Needs air moving when it is brutal out. Car is fine.
If that hot, the engine will pull timing. The ECU may have gone into a limp mode.
My daily is twin turbo with the ecu sitting on top of the engine. Here in VA on the "feels like 115" crazy days it gets sluggish.
He was talking about track applications.
Bigger brakes on the same platform as me out brake me. 6 pot vs my stock 4 pot. Friend can out brake me by almost 70 feet. That is not heat management. That is more caliper grabbing more rotor.
Sure modern cars on the street can all engage ABS
But...
Rotors should be matched to larger calipers and pads. So heat management remains equal. Modern pads do Not off gas like pads from the 80s and 90s.
Have fun :).
you didn’t ask but a lot better tire choices for track than r888. There is a new r888+ or something, but I haven’t run that...
You are reading things from people who are mis-informed.
The Z is a heavy car it will benefit greatly from larger brakes and better fluid. I had a stock performance Z go ice mode on me.
You would also be better off spending $$ on a differential if tracking. The open diff makes the heavy...
Have driven both for a day. Have driven both on track.
m2>Z in every measurable metric.
Z only wins in looks and even then a black M2 with some add ons looks really sinister.
"heaven on earth"
my favorite place. great start. pm me if you want any tips or advice. i could also walk you through Catalyst how to dive deeper into the data.
If i had a GT3 RS or something i would seriously look at Futura enclosed trailers- which also lower. Because the $$ would not bother me if i could afford a 350k gt3rs and also presumably I would have a mechanic or person to look after and care for it.
Introducing the World's First Enclosed...
Yeah, not trashing them or saying stay away- But the lowering ones start at 14-15k and then you add on tire racks, airdams etc. Have probably 6 friends that have them.
Two have had mouse problems... lol the box that holds the battery, charger, motors, brain makes a great nesting area and...
yes it was magic how flat it got.
Had trouble w remotes and the lowering cable would get bound up and frayed. The air dam kept coming apart.
Great trailers- just too much maintenance for what you paid. The race car takes enough attn and $.
I had a lowering Futura for a season. yes well made and very nice. The remote control lowering and winch really spoil you.
I take it that one doesn't lower?
I landed on a 22' alumn trailer and have gone back to ramps.
I had a deposit since 2021 for a GRM model based only on s58 motor rumors. vaporized and dealership returned deposit last year. This Europe only "edition" is admittedly silly
