  1. New Z meets 1990 Z32 TT!

These pics are insanely gorgeous. Thank you. You should take some more side profile pics, that pic of them side by side really shows how cars have changed. I never realized how massive the greenhouse of the Z32 was; compared to the RZ-34, it looks huge. The RZ-34 looks like it has a chopped...
  2. Bridgestone Potenza S007's - Worn through at 14,000 Miles!

14,000 miles is actually not bad for a rear wheel drive Z. My C63 with 130 more Lb. Ft. of torque could barely get to 10,000 miles. And I can’t even get to 7,000 miles in a Tesla Plaid without changing the rears.
  3. 1st gen Acura NSX appeciation thread

Even before the wreck, I don’t think this was quite a pristine example. It had 147,000 miles and an odd body kit…the lower rear bumper, massive rear spoiler and front bumper are definitely not stock….
  4. ROAD TRIP OR SHIP?

My take—ship it with an enclosed transport carrier that specializes in high-end exotics, has the insurance policy to cover anything, and provides 24/7 video surveillance of your car and a GPS tracking device. This way you can both watch your car on the way there and track its whereabouts while...
  5. 1st gen Acura NSX appeciation thread

I had this exact color combo; I traded in a 2000 black on black NSX-T for a 2003 yellow on yellow NSX-T. The 2000 model was superior in my view. The 2000 would hit much harder when VTEC was engaged, as Honda did a bit of an oil pressure drop right before 5800 RPM to make the ā€œhitā€ more...
  6. 9AT jerks forward when stopping?

I have 2000 miles on my Proto, and haven’t experiencing lurching yet. I know my car was part of the initial batch that was subject to a factory-mandated dealer fix before it could actually be sold, so I’m wondering if that could have ā€œoptimizedā€ the transmission in some wierd way. My biggest...
  7. 4BA-R35 GTR vs. RZ-34: Driving Impressions

Good reminders, I totally forgot they refreshed the R35 in 2020. Apparently there was some engine changes at that time too, like new turbos, a new exhaust manifold, and an updated R mode for the GR6: https://usa.nissannews.com/en-US/releases/2020-nissan-gt-r-press-kit?selectedTabId=# And yah...
  8. NISMO Z GT4 Concept

Thanks for sharing the link, perfect timing
  9. 4BA-R35 GTR vs. RZ-34: Driving Impressions

You’re right, the Z is easier to maneuver and just get going. It weighs at least 300 pounds less than the R35 and u can feel it in turns. The R35 takes more preparation and really being aware of how large it is. The RZ34 also has better parking sensors, as they’re likely from 2022/23, whereas...
  10. 4BA-R35 GTR vs. RZ-34: Driving Impressions

So I drove my 23 Z back-to-back with my 24 R35 and here’s some initial impressions: the latest version of the R35 feels noticeably faster than the ā€˜16 version I previously had. The engine pulls much harder to redline and it sounds more angry and ferocious in either manual or auto mode. My ā€˜16...
  11. Michelin PS4S tires = Big Difference on 2023 Z

No issues w TPM. The crew at America’s Tire did a flawless installation. Only issue is neither America’s Tire or like 6 Nissan dealers had any clue about the lug nut torque rating. So they mutually agreed on 95.
  12. Michelin PS4S tires = Big Difference on 2023 Z

OEM size match, no change. Btw what location / weather are you in to only notice a slight difference ?
  13. Michelin PS4S tires = Big Difference on 2023 Z

I didn’t get the chance to try launch control yet, but when hammering the throttle from a standstill it just hurtles itself forward with no drama. On the S007s it was squealing from a standstill whether in launch mode or hammering the throttle. So I expect it’ll be better but TBD how much...
  14. Michelin PS4S tires = Big Difference on 2023 Z

So I took the Z out yesterday, it was 96 degrees in California. Decided to see if there’s a difference between the stock Bridgestones and the recently installed Michelin PS4S tires. The car is a Proto 9 AT. Key Observations: - From a dig, in manual shifting mode, first through third gears is a...
  15. Locking Lug Nuts

I got them from the Nissan dealer for my 23 Z. Just requires you to keep a special ā€œkeyā€ to unlock the lock on each wheel. If nothing else it causes headaches for those looking at your rims…just don’t lose the lock…cause you’ll need it whenever you change tires…
  16. What’s the Z Lug Torque Number???

Thanks Matt, I know you got the Nissan connections, even the dealers don’t have a clue—and we called 6 of them lol
  17. What’s the Z Lug Torque Number???

Thanks for that info. The Nissan dealer said with the extra torque I’m safer at 95, so they left it there for now. They said it’s better to be over than under on the torque lug rating. Guy said this has too much torque to keep it at 85, but when you get a chance, do you think you can ask your...
  18. What’s the Z Lug Torque Number???

Hello, getting new tires for my 23 Z, and nobody seems to know what the lug torque rating is for these cars. We got 80-100 as a range. There’s nothing in the manual. Which is odd. Any help is greatly appreciated!
  19. Why You Probably Haven't Seen The New Z On The Road Yet

Sucks to hear this. An R35 puts down power like a locomotive and pulls like a demon; I had lower expectations for a C63, but that still pulls really hard and with the right tires, wheel spin is eliminated in warmer weather (65 F). The RZ34 at highway speeds is phenomenal, kind of reminds me of...
  20. Why You Probably Haven't Seen The New Z On The Road Yet

so the PS4S don’t make much of a difference ??? It’s just inherent to the design that traction will be limited no matter the tire ? I’m about to switch to those tires so I’m very interested in the difference you feel so far…thanks
