Nissan’s leadership ran the company into the ground and they expect Honda to let them have a say in the future company. Yea, no…. Honda dodged a bullet IMO.
There has been a lot of speculation that this was to be a shotgun wedding pushed by the Japanese government. I’m guessing Honda said...
Honda is much more of an engine company than a car company. I predict the plan is for Honda to provide engines for both Nissan and Mitsubishi, letting them cut back their product development costs.
IMO, it’ll be very interesting to see how the structure of this merger (if it happens) plays...
2025 might end up being a terrible year to buy an import of any kind. Depends on how these forecasted tariffs play out. But hat tip on those picks. Those are three of the same cars I’m considering.
So far, the lowest priced Peformance trim I've seen, here in Colorado, is this one at $49,365. I'm seeing some NISMOs further out for $10K off MSRP, Like This One.
My wife and I have already decided that we’ll debadge the car and put a Fairlady Z emblem on it. We can rely in her family in Tokyo to get us some nice badges.
I like the NISMO the most but the OG is a very close 2nd. The Heritage looks OK from the front but any other angle just makes it look odd. It sure isn’t worth the $6K premium Nissan asks for the package.

Anyways, the real cargo/passenger weight limit is determined by taking the GVRW and subtracting the curb weight. That is the total passenger and cargo weight capacity of the car.
4211lbs (GVRW) - 3486 (Sport trim...
Hey friends,
This month, I find myself in Japan. I’ve been to Sapporo, Nagoya, and this week I’ve been all over Tokyo. Today I spent time in Ginza, checking out Nissan Crossing, among other things. It’s kind of a mini museum and cafe on a Ginza street corner. The front window has a Nissan F1...
I'm in Colorado, but I don't yet have a Z (still shopping). Anyways, the rules for it are the same as any car. You're already doing the right thing by planning to drive it once every couple of weeks and only on dry days. Putting all seasons on it is a good idea as well. If you decide to leave...
