All,
I have a Cricut. I am planning to cut out some red vinyl stickers in RED. Does anyone have a set of calipers that can measure the INSIDE DIMENSIONS of the side Z logo and REAR Z logo?
First person to take a pic and post it of the inside dimensions that work, I'll cut you 3 stickers in...
I have went down the Google rabbit hole. It appears 370Z's w/o heated seats still had the wiring under the seats.
I can get a factory heated switch set to put in place of the blank switches.
Do the 2024 Z SPORT models have the heated seat wiring in place?
I'm a MT guy. I've owned 13 cars. 11 have been stick. (One of the ATs I bought and sold as a flip. The other was a 100k mile car....)
Yes, the paddled ATs will shift faster than I can. They will rev match. They will go 0-60 faster than my MT.
But after having my mere Sport MT for a week, and...
@Brett
Speaker sizes on the 2024 Sport are as follows:
2.5" dash. (Can mod the hole to use 2.75".)
6.5" door. Need a new spacer ring.
3.5" REAR speakers. They mount to the body plastic, and even new speakers sound like crap.
Quick update:
The rear speakers on the sport are 3.5". The size is 3.5". No more, no less. 4.5" is right out. [/Monty Python Holy Grail reference]
So, for SPORT audio. These are the speaker sizes:
- 3.5" rear speakers.
- 6.5" door speakers. (Need a new spacer, as the stock spacer is PART...
Update on my install endeavors:
Dash speakers are 2.5" diameter. You CAN install 2.75" diam speakers, if you move the clamp nuts outward. Swapping these out made a MONSTER amount of improvement in my Sport model audio quality. If I would have stopped here, I would have been fine with things...
2024 Z: You can always use the one behind the battery (passenger side....) It pokes through above the passenger's right pinkie toe. You can fold the carpet down, and poke a stick through the insulated blanket that lays against the firewall.
This thread made me go down the google rabbit hole. I cannot seem to find anything on the specific teams. I DID find Motorsports.com , which you can pay to watch the races. Promises to be better than NASCAR!
@Lenk
Thank you for the other recommendations on speakers. Yes, those others will flow more "current" (for lack of a better word). However, E= I x R. Voltage is a constant. If you lower resistance, the current through the wiring, and through the head unit is double.
My car is a Sport...
I do not race, autocross, drag race, etc. I like the LOOKS of the big brakes, but don't feel like buying the Z1 upgrade.
BUT, better braking is always a great option!
Are there different pads that are better than the stock ones?
@Mr. Mac I have ordered new Pioneer 2.5, 6.5, and 5.25 speakers. I plan to document the installation to include how to get to the rear speakers w/o ruining the panels or Christmas trees. I also want to find compatible factory-to-speaker connectors so the next person doesn't wire a speaker out...
