I‘m curious how much people are scraping upfront with lowered cars? I already scrape around town on occasion with a stock height car. I think whats scraping is either the flap in front of the tires or the black plastic aero.
Damn, your car looks great with that setup. I’m in the throes of deciding on a coil over setup for my car.
The car already scrapes a bit at factory ride height which has been 2nd guessing going any lower despite it looking much better.
Road trip! You never know how you’re going to feel after 5.5 hours in the saddle of a new car. Happy to say, very comfortable. The dog also approved, slept most of the trip.
I’ve been to this dealership several years ago when I had Nissans before and never had this experience there. But, given this experience today, I’m considering finding an Independent.
I called back to talk to the service manager and the response I got was “the service manager quit several days...
Got an oil change at the dealership. It was interesting hearing the service advisor explain how meticulous they have to be with the Z for oil changes compared to other vehicles.
I wonder how meticulous you need to be to leave oil smeared all over the fender
How far you want to go? Vehicle detailing is a hobby for me. This is my setup below 😅
I use a variety of products from Gyeon to Pinnacle and a lot of stuff in between. MF towels out the wazoo. Paint polisher, different compounds, coatings. Agree with a statement above that it’s fairly easy to...
It’s shocking to me that whatever glue they used is strong enough that you can break that rod trying to loosen the shift knob. My 370Z was nowhere near this difficult. I’m considering just letting the dealer handle it when I take it in for an oil change.
Took advantage of the great weather in Ga today and washed her up.
2 things:
I need to decide what I’m going to do to get rid of this dried on glue. I’d prefer to clean it off before polishing.
Anyone have suggestions on a cool license plate surround?
I looked at the engine bay and on the underside of the hood is a sticker indicating it has Scratch Shield. Guess I’ll be looking for a super soft polish.
My pug loves car rides. I need to find something for the Z to protect the door card from him scratching it when he looks out the window and tries attacking the cars that go by.
Also found this after you mentioned it:

Scratch Shield didn’t save my car from the dealership 😅, they definitely broke the bond.
I just got my car back from PPF and my guy mentioned the clearcoat seemed soft to him. I don’t know? I polished out the hood and front fenders, A pillar and roof with Meguair‘s 105 and an orange LC pad followed by 205 on a white pad before he applied the PPF. Applied with an old Porter Cable...
Thanks, I watched that and tried to remove it the same way he did without any success. He makes it look super easy. When I tried, I can barely get the pry tool between the plastics.
Wasn’t sure if folks had another method.
