!.UPDATE.!
There is no update. Nissan cannot figure it out. They tried blaming it on my wheel and tire specs that are the recommended by Rays and Z1. Switched back to stock tires and wheels, and the issue is still present. In Canada we don't have lemon laws. Nissan cannot figure it out. And I...
UPDATE!
Dealership spent 5 hours with the car, checked out the TB plate.
Tech concluded there is NOTHING wrong with the car mechanically.
We continued to log, and it shows the throttle closing at the same time the issue occurs. Not the wastegate, but the throttle plate in the TB.
Tech...
UPDATE!
Dealership has no clue what the heck it is.
That's coming from a 25 year Nissan Master tech. Who checked evrything physically, and then did live data logging with me while I drove, trying to replicate the issue.
He has to open a ticket with Nissan Japan to consult on the issue, and...
I'll take it to the dealer then, I'm in Canada, so that price is much, much higher than the site says. And also, on a brand new car that only JUST hit 3,000 km on the odometer, the dealership needs to be paying for everything.
I appreciate all your help!
So you're thinking electrical? Would there be a fuel cut on a false boost reading? If the gauge reads 20-23psi would it initiate a failsafe even if its not making that much boost?
The dealer I bought my car from is 5.5 hours away from me. And the closest dealer (both Nissan) is about 3 hours away.
It can do it 1-2.
But the lurch is so much more, I felt is safer when trying to replicate the issue, to do it in the higher gears. I think I can feel the extra performance. What bothers me, is that hotbox or whatever basically adds boost to get to where my car is. So is the lurch a failsafe? Or...
I'm thinking it must be. But I don't know how to diagnose that, and fix it. I'd rather avoid the downtime and potential for the dealer to mess up more stuff.
Hey guys, I'm having a weird issue. I need some help.
I have a 2024 Nissan Z with 2,900 km on it.
Stock, aside from a muffler delete.
Car has run amazingly up until now.
I have no codes, no DTCs, no discernible leaks.
The car seems to be building boost too quickly, and too much or something...
