3200 pounds is excellent nowadays anyways. If the car does shrink a bit then it'll be even lighter than that. I think it's mostly online bench racers who really care about weight so fanatically. Always calling for carbon fiber this and carbon fiber that. My E46 M3 weighs 3,400 pounds and...
Yea but since then there have been a lot of new vehicles out and they have a better idea of the competition. I'd rather they take their time and give us a truly exciting car than something designed in 2011 and already behind current competition.
Yea maybe if the Z stays the same size and on the same platform. If these elements change and the car also drops its V6 for a 4 cyl then you can bet it should be lighter.
Great quarterly profit was due in large part to the strength of the USD against the yen. Plus all auto manufacturers are hitting record sales recently. Unfortunately it seems most companies are going away from the hardcore sports cars and concentrating on what the buyers want right now -...

I'm thinking this has to mean that they won't be bringing the Z35 to market for at least a year...

Twenty-five years after the debut of the original, paradigm-shifting NSX supercar, Acura revealed the production version of its highly...
That's already starting to happen. Auto manufacturers have no choice but to reduce weight as a way to increase MPG to meet CAFE standards as they get stricter over next few years. The weight reduction is a good thing for us enthusiasts but at the same time they're also increasingly turning to...
I'd much prefer a pricier Z next gen car that is faster and can compete with cars like the M3 and V8 american cars than a smaller displacement turbo. I think Nissan really needs to bring back the Silvia to compete with the FRS/BRZ
I would rather see a faster, more expensive Z that would...
Sounds like they will with the multiple engines they'll be offering. That way people who care more or less about power will have an option for them not like the FR-S which only has one underpowered engine.
I think that's a sketch for the current 370z thats why it looks so much like it. Too much fender and too much bulges everywhere for me. If they r going to return to a 240z roots philosophy I think it should look sleeker and slimmed down. Like a grayhound not a bulldog :)
Why not? You can have a 200Z and 300Z at the same time for example. 200Z for a 4 cyl, 300Z for a 6 cyl. It's like the BMW 3 series which are just called 328i or 335i even though they're the same car except for the engine.
