While I absolutely think you are correct in the engine technically being broken in already, I think for some (including me), I'd rather take it easy for the first chunk of miles like the manual says to. Obviously if it's already broken, it'll throw a rod to the moon if you full send at 15 miles...
Some people say to not even bother with a break in period. Meanwhile, dudes with C8 Z06s that are doing hard pulls immediately are blowing up their engines. Not an apples to apples, but I wouldn't be surprised if the VR30 exploded under high stress early in its life. This advice you gave is good...
Same. I was ready to shell out to get a Z at MSRP, but man those Dealers are asking too much for a car that is questionably worth it at MSRP. Instead, I ordered this yesterday ?:
I'll start :D here's my shortlist, none of them really confirmed they will sell it at MSRP, but they verbally communicated they intend on selling them at MSRP:
-AutoNation Nissan Chandler over in Chandler, AZ;
-Newton Nissan South in Shelbyville, TN;
-Fitzgerald Nissan Chambersburg in...
Same, looking at GRC, the twins, Hyundai VN/EN, GTI, & CTR. Wanted a VN, but those ain't in prod. anymore :(, so the interest on financing is now through the rough cause they are all used. Think I'm going to get a base GTI DSG and wait a few years for perhaps a '24/'25 Z if they are still making...
the more I see stuff like this, the more I just want to get a GTI or BRZ and wait it out until these scumbags stop with insane markups and interest rates come down to reasonable levels...
