  1. What does everyone do for a living?

Mechanical Engineer working in construction. Just got PE this year too!
  2. What are you hoping to learn for Z unveiling?

I agree, and didn't Nissan already say the new Z wouldn't have less than the outgoing model? I think that would still apply even if there's multiple engine options available. I think people are just mirroring the q60 engine options and applying them to the Z, which likely won't be what's...
  3. Chevy Corvette C8 vs Nissan Z35

I put my deposit in early on at large dealer. I'm expecting a second year car, but I don't mind the wait. Give me more time to appreciate the Z anyway . All Z06's, at least two to three years out are already spoken for at this point anyway, and the car's not even open for ordering yet.
  4. Will the Z35 be your first Z? / Are you a Nissan Virgin?

This will be my first Z, and really looking forward to it. I cross-shopped a 370Z against a Mazda RX8 R3 back in 2012. The Mazda won out, and I loved every second of owning that car. Nothing against the Z series; I know they are fantastic cars (which is why I'm getting the new one!) In an ideal...
  5. 2020 Mid-Engine Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Starts at $59,995

I'm actually in line for the C8 Z06. But... as it won't be revealed probably for another year, with first deliveries in beginning of 2023...it'll be a while lol
  6. Are you getting manual or automatic?

Agreed, I guess Toyota must have figured the manual faithful would have just sucked it up and still buy the auto supra. Instead they probably all went out and bought other cars with manuals, like M2's, Camaros, caymans or something.
  7. Nissan Z spotted with less camo!

While ~ $35k may be a bit optimistic, I don't think that price will be too far off the mark. I know most of us are comparing the Z against the Supra, but I think Nissan is gunning for the Mustang, Camaro: the more value-oriented sports coupes. These cars (and potentially the Z) will sell in much...
  8. 2022 BMW 2-Series Coupe (G42) & 2023 BMW M2 (G87)

The car has... some very strange angles, the rear haunches seem at odds with the rest of the car's design. And supposedly its gained nearly 200 lbs in xDrive form? So now a 2 series will weigh about as much as a base Challenger?
  9. What cars do you currently own?

Beautiful 335i, those N54's are an absolute blast tune! I had an '07 335i coupe but gave it up a couple years ago. Even with their problems, still a great, fun car to own. Big Props for keeping yours so clean. Photo of my old one below:
  10. August 17 NYIAS Nissan Z Unveiling + Attendee List

Most likely on the 21st, though if a bunch of folks wanna plan for that Friday 8/20, I'm down.
  11. August 17 NYIAS Nissan Z Unveiling + Attendee List

I'll be attending NYIAS... I live in Jersey, about 20 minutes outside the city. Last year was the only year I missed in the past five or so I've attended. And definitely don't want to miss seeing the new Z in person before its on the dealer lots. Look forward to meeting some of you guys there!
  12. Official Nissan Z Nismo Discussion / News & Speculation via Bestcarweb Japan

I think the lowest tier or base-level Z car will at least match the power of the outgoing 370z. Unless that base model price is really attractive, the optics of having less power than the older model wouldn't be great, right?
