  1. Does the tonneau cover require....

Yes. You may or may not need the heavier gas struts. I did not...works fine with the stock struts.
  2. Upgraded to Z1 sway bars...

Solid plan, and very cost-efficient (y)
  3. extended warranty

On behalf of all Nissan owners, I'd like to thank you for purchasing a Nissan Extended Warranty. It's a HUGE money-maker for Nissan (margin-wise) and every factory extended warranty purchase adds to Nissan's net revenue in these financially challenging times. In the unlikely event that you would...
  4. Loading Nissan Z on the back of a flatbed tow truck

I agree that hooking up to the control arms for a flatbed tow is SOP, but one common concern regarding loading onto most flatbeds is the front air dam/lip. For the same reason that these Z's are not shipped from the mfgr with those things installed. They generally need to be removed before...
  5. Nissan Z's future uncertain after 2025?

All the doom and gloom assumes that Japan will actually implement these noise restrictions with the same proposed provisions and on the same time line as in the article.
  6. Nismo caught in the snow

And a definite hazard on the roads.
  7. Battery Re-Location

Interesting...I had no idea that that was a thing. Battery location is an important consideration in my airplane because center of gravity out of envelope can kill ya., but I've never paid attention in my cars. Maybe something to consider if I raced it. For everyday driving, I can't imagine that...
  8. Toyota Supra’s Sales Dominance Over Nissan Z Is… Over

The world's ridiculous overreaction to COVID did no one any favors
  9. Steering wheel cracking

    C’mon guys…this problem has a pretty simple solution…
  10. Toyota Supra’s Sales Dominance Over Nissan Z Is… Over

Personally I'm pretty neutral on BMW, but man....that is a great rant. Hats off! I bow to your greater experience with the brand.
  11. Toyota Supra’s Sales Dominance Over Nissan Z Is… Over

Why? What's the problem? BMW makes a very competent car. The M-series isn't my cup of tea but no denying that it's a competently designed and engineered car.
  12. Toyota Supra’s Sales Dominance Over Nissan Z Is… Over

Here in the hinterlands of Minnesota, seeing a Z of any vintage on the road is a rare event. There are two or three 350Z's around, and one or two 370Z's, but I've yet to run across an RZ34 of any variety. Getting randomly addressed by admirers in parking lots and gas stations is a very common...
  13. Infotainment System

Your website doesn't list anything for any Nissan Z
  14. Any regrets?

You can always download the Z owner's manual to your phone, which then won't take up important storage space in your car... https://www.nissan-techinfo.com/deptog.aspx?dept_id=802
  15. Any regrets?

The seats are shaped such that a 4 o'clock belt slide makes for uncomfortable sitting. The item fits well into that manual compartment behind the passenger seat. Easily reachable with one hand from the driver's seat. Likewise easy to slam shut making the compartment and its contents unobtrusive.
  16. Lifting the Z (or any vehicle with pinch-welds)

I agree, just ran across the ad and thought appropriate to toss into the discussion, For my part, I like the way that the non-metallic hockey puck distributes the load to the frame and doesn't let it all focus on just the pinch weld. Plus...it's cheap....$3 for the puck, plus a 4-pack of 1/2 x...
  17. Any regrets?

Yes, and that works fine if you want to have a cord or two hanging down from the radar detector/dashcam down to the passenger footwell. I'd prefer to plug those two things right up where they mount. Normally I use a mirror tap cord but it would be nice to actually have a power outlet. It's...
  18. Any regrets?

Every Z I've ever had has had too much body roll and needs sway bars. My 370Z's were very noisy (road noise). The 2024 is quieter, but not by much. Steering wheel heater and remote start would be good for some...I don't need them since I never drive the Z in winter (Minnesota). Not that the 2024...
  19. Any regrets?

Yes, it's a great place to stash your Glock.
