  1. Need help! Silver vs midnight purple Z

I personally would go for the purple. I had a BMW in their Sunset Orange, which is also an uncommon color. Yes, heaven forbid a deer or something smacks the side of you car (that happened to the BMW) you wound need to go to a dealer that is certified to recreate that paint code, but that alone...
  2. Pop-up hood (popper delete kit) installed with pics

I'm 100% with your logic. I finally got my Nengum sourced poppers, but will not be discarding the ones from FSUZ33. If I mow over a rabbit enroute to work and have doubts, hopefully I can just switch to the new poppers and keep on driving. :)
  3. Hood Popper Delete Installation Video

Hello friends, I took some time this weekend to document the install of my Top Secret Hood Popper Delete Kit from Nangun Racing. Overall it wasn't that difficult, though the passenger side removal is exponentially harder than the driver side. I also want to give a shout out to FSUZ33 who...
  4. GUN METALLIC Nissan Z Color Pics & Club

I took this pic after I did my first claybar and ceramic coating. The gunmetal gives a great reflection :)
  5. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Me too. I wasn't sad though. It's hard to be sad driving a manual transmission Z. I was really happy seeing work in my rearview mirror as I left for the day too. :)
  6. Installed a Mishimoto Catch Can today

I installed a Mishimoto Catch Can today. I was kinda dreading removal of the intercooler after reading multiple horror stories on this forum. Happy to say it wasn't that bad. I think the whole job took 2.5hrs (to include filming the install) Made a vid while I was at it. :)
  7. Installed the Tomei Titanium Single Exit Exhaust.

No drone. Its not loud enough to be a nuisance. If I want to wake the neighborhood I fire up my heads /cam Camaro with long tube headers and Corsa exhaust. I reserve that for weekends when I head off to work at 0545 🙂
  8. Pop-up hood (popper delete kit) installed with pics

Appreciate the offer. I "think" everything's worked out after another phone conversation. The agent on the phone wanted to clarify that all the raw materials used to create the carbon fiber and the decals I bought were mined or sourced from Japan. I felt like saying "bitch, are you for real?"...
  9. Pop-up hood (popper delete kit) installed with pics

I ordered the Top Secret popper delete kit from Nengun last month. My package is currently being "held" by some mouth-breather in US Customs because they do not believe the blocking plates in the kit are carbon fiber and believe they could be aluminum. (Customs can charge extra tariff $$ for...
  10. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Technically I did this last week, but installed a Tomei Single Exit titanium exhaust. Absolutely love the sound with the stock Y and downpipes.
  11. Installed the Tomei Titanium Single Exit Exhaust.

I was researching exhausts since before I bought my 2026 Nissan Z. I am a fan of dual tailpipes, but I was perpetually drawn to the sound of the titanium single exhausts for this car. I picked up a Tomei single exit titanium exhaust from Concept Z recently and am super happy with the sound...
  12. Traded my Z

43K miles in 14 months is a lot of seat time. I appreciate the comments on the Z and your perspective on the experience. One comment you made...... I'm currently awaiting the Top Secret Hood Popper Delete Kit I ordered direct from Japan last month. My fear of the front end setting off an...
  13. Is the Z accident prone?

That's a fact. If I drive my wife's dented up 1995 Chevy 3500 crew cab long bed with the cow catcher.... no one acts stupid around me. Bring out the Z or my motorcycle, it's now the Hunger Games on my daily commute.
  14. Did my 1200 mile oil change today

This post went off the rails. To pour fuel on the fire, I change the oil in all my cars at 3k mile intervals. I did that on my BMW (versus the recommended 12k interval) and never had issues that plagued many other owners. I also have a Hyundai Accent with over a quarter million miles...
  15. Did my 1200 mile oil change today

The purpose of a break-in period is to allow bearings to seat, rings to seal, and metal parts to mesh to each other. Often, there are minute metal particles suspended in the oil from this process. Changing the oil at the end of the break-in period removes these particles from the car so they...
  16. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Did my 1200 mile service (oil change) this afternoon and then took the car over 4000RPMs for the first time since I bought her a month ago. I'm happy. This car rips from a roll. 🙂
  17. Did my 1200 mile oil change today

I've spent the past month driving like a geriatric in an old Chrysler on the way to Bingo; never over 4000RPMs, light throttle, etc. Today I finally hit the magical 1200 mile thresh hold (well, 1184 to be exact, but good enough for government work) I've read several posts and watched some vids...
  18. Tire PSI with Nitrogen

I did my 1200 mile service this afternoon. I dropped the pressure to 35PSI. The only reason I knew the dealer monkey fisted the car before I bought it and put nitrogen in the tires is because they put on some fancy metal valve stem caps that say N2 on each of them. Appreciate everyone's...
  19. Tire PSI with Nitrogen

Part of me feels stupid for asking this, but is there any reason in the world to have a tire PSI setting different for Nitrogen versus normal air? My Z (brand new from the dealer) has N2 in the tires..... at 45PSI. This is a good 10PSI higher than the owner manual recommendation. Before I go...
  20. What did you do with your Z today? 🙋🏻‍♂️

Broke up the gunmetal/silver/grey monotone by painting my brake calipers lime green. Used the G2 kit from Amazon. Took a few hours, but I'm happy with the result. :)
