I agree with @jdm-rhd - get it repaired (even if out of pocket), you'll spend < $100 to stop it from spreading instead of waiting until you have to replace the windshield for $1k+.

Be cautious with Safelite. They nicked my roof during the install and I pointed it out during the inspection prior to paying the bill. They agreed to pay for it to be repainted, and in the R&R the body shop discovered Safelite had broken clips on both the interior and exterior A pillar trim...

I've had several road trips since purchase six months ago (ODO is 5k+) and agree with the sentiment in the article. It's a great touring car, invokes a ton of nostalgia for me, and leaves me smiling every time I drive it.
