Thanks... I just looked at what it costs to get front and rear adjustable camber kits from Z1 and it made me question the wisdom of lowering my car. I guess I could find a lesser costing source or just monitor for uneven tire wear for the summer. But I do need a project...
Got my post lowering alignment. I could feel the difference on the ride home. The Z seemed to be more sensitive to steering input.. Could just be in my mind, too. As long as I don't ruin my tires it will be fine.
On to the next project.
After spending hours crawling around under my Z doing an oil change, installing sway bars and lowering springs I figured it's time to get a Quickjack.
Yes, they are heavy! The tiny wheels do help but I had to drag the box off the grass to find out. Now I need a project...
Put the Eibach lowering springs on last Saturday and thought how nice a lift would have been...
It looks like QuickJacks are on sale this weekend. Which one do most of you go with?
Wow, what a nice space to work on your Z! It must be a pleasure to have such a clean bay.
I think I'll go for the Quickjack the next time they run a sale.
On Monday I put the K&N cold air intake on the Z. Still has the stock automatic exhaust. Previously I had installed the JB4 tuner and pushed the stock tires past their limit in a couple of situations. Then I added Stillen sway bars... better... then the Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02s and...
I was visiting a buddy in Chattanooga, and I kept asking him how far it was to Nashville so we could go to the Lane Motor Museum... There's a collection there I'd love to see. I bet you've seen it.
My friend had a 10-year-old Datsun 2000 that he rebuilt when he was a kid, but I couldn't get him...
I'm sorry. I know this might be off topic but this was the first GTR I have ever seen. I was driving and my wife took the pictures. I have no clue what it is by year or trim level, but I'm 70 and I've only seen pictures of them and I got excited!
I heard they fixed the fuel starvation issue on the '27s. I always keep mine topped up and I'm not tracking it, so I don't have personal experience, but it seems like it might warrant a recall if others have.
Last fall I was driving in York Maine where you might see a Ferrari or a 911 GT3 on a given day. All of a sudden there's a black AMG GT coupe pulling up beside me to take a long look at the Z. On the other hand getting attention from EVERY cop you see kinda sucks. Hard to blend in with traffic...
