    The OEM Panasonic batteries in the NA and MB MX5 (Miata) were renowned for lasting 10-15 years plus. We are 12 years in on our Skoda Octavia vRS wagon and had our first battery change 2 years ago. My old RS3 also was 8 years on the original battery when I traded it on the Z.
