2024 Sport MTs in NJ are $5200 below MSRP (6/25/2024)

Greetings all. 2nd post (1st one was in the tri-state group).



I've been saving my $ for either a Supra or Z. Couldn't find either when I lived in Flower Mount, TX in 22-23.

Pulled the trigger this week. Rt 46 Nissan in Towtowa, NJ had a black sport MT listed at $1200 under MSRP. Went in, told them I was ready to pull the trigger on a GR86, but wanted to drive a Z.

There ARE Sport models out there below MSRP. Both MT and AT.

Grey one is still there at $1245 under MSRP on the website...

What I saw at other dealerships:

- Performance models? Dealers are asking $7500 ish over MSRP (Rt 17 Nissan and Hilltop Nissan are asking for this markup.)

- Sport Models? As of April 2024, many, many many grey and black Zs in the area. No white, blue or Red MTs.

Congratulations on your Z! Did you look for any supras in Jersey? Im from New York but got my Z in Jersey in October. Any future plans?

Looked and found a few, but more than I want to pay. Also, NJ roads will chew up a Supra, and I'm not sure it could handle a real winter.

Plans for the Z? Tint and a tonneau cover. Figure out if the back speakers are even working.

Congrats on the car!

Last week I just bought a Z Performance 6MT for $51.5ish with two required dealer addons: protection package $599 and some PPF for $699 (had the option to do window tint for $599 instead of $699 PPF, but I'm getting ceramic tint so I passed on the cheaper option). MSRP for the car was $54.5ish. This was from an AutoNation store in the Phoenix area. Also added $600 to have them transport it to me inside a covered trailer.

In my area, all the performance Zs are listed for $58k+. This was a no brainer.

The two listed in the OP are still available. If you are thinking about a Z, and your stealership tells you, "We get $xxxx above MSRP, tell them to get bent.

For everyone's knowledge, the 2 Zs in the OP are STILL available.

I'm getting worried that Nissan is going to discontinue the Z if they can't move them.

when i looked at 2 at grabury nissan in tx, both were used and several thousand over msrp. they sold both.

curious if they would price match another dealer that far away for a new z, if they even have one. i'll check tomorrow...

DFW to JFK would be two American Airlines hubs. JFK has NY transit through it. You can get from JFK to Penn Station (Under MSG). From Penn, you can take NJ transit. Get to the Bloomfield station, and I'll give you a ride to Rt 46 Nissan. They're a car dealer, but on the dealer/asshole spectrum, they're OK. I got the black one 2200 below MSRP.

DFW to EWR (Newark) would eliminate some transit, as you could use NJ transit from EWR. Hell, you could go to a station near Rt 46 Nissan.

Rt 46 Nissan (Where I bought my black sport 6MT for 2200 under msrp) STILL has this grey one. It is NOW $5245 BELOW MSRP!

They are a bit of an a-hole dealership; They gave me the hard sell.

LMK if anyone is interested. I'll recommend a salesperson, and a tactic to get it for less.

@jdm-rhd Holy crap. Rt 46 Nissan has THREE Nismos for $8500-$9100 LESS THAN MSRP, and two Sport 6MTs for about 5k UNDER MSRP.

Methinks they got greedy, and now they need to blow them out to try to get a heritage.

The gun metallic is STILL available. It was there in early April, so they will come down FURTHER.

(As are all three NISMOs....) Methinks the ordering guy requested too many, thinking he was going to get bongo bucks for them, and now he's gonna eat them.
