So Biden does the same thing that Trump was accused of. Now let's see if he gets treated the same way. ?
Not really. It's a pretty different situation.

Oh yes, you're right. 45 actually had the authority to declassify them (and according to him, he did), while at the time VP Biden didn't. In addition, the ones found at 46's home and office have been there for at least 6 years now. On the flip side, one could argue that 45 had way more documents and refused to return them. According to 45's lawyers, they were in the process of being returned and the FBI raid was just all for show. Who knows for sure, that's why we now have special councils looking into both cases. I'll end with I'm not a Trumper or libtard. I just want to see equal justice under the law.

Yes, I am right.

Trump was instructed to return said documents. He did not, which prompted the "raid" (let's be real, it's a witch-hunt that unfortunately for Trump turned up with some bad shit). Biden's senile ass didn't even know he had any classified and what I'm gathering is that in the last days of Obama's presidency whoever cleaned out Biden's shit wasn't paying attention to classifications and just tossing paperwork in boxes. Not really an excuse, but it's likely reality.

Now to the good shit. On top of all the classified he was in possession of, Trump was in possession of SCI material, and as much as he claims he declassified it there's no proof, which would easily be able to be provided given how closely tracked SCI is. Yes, POTUS has authority to essentially declassify at will, but SCI is a different beast entirely (which he can still declassify, but it would be tracked).

AFAIK, Biden isn't in possession of SCI. That of course could change. Also, VPOTUS does have authority to declassify if VPOTUS is the originating classification authority.

So like I said, it's a pretty different situation which would involve different applications of law and regulations.

In regard to declassification, a person just cannot point, or even think, toward a document to declassify it. There is a process which includes the written request going to the original classifier. That agency changes the markings on it to lower the classification.

In the Army, I had a Top Secret clearance. I saw records "mismanagement" almost everyday as most of us put more value in the content of the docs rather than the actual doc itself. But, all personnel present had the Level and everything was locked up at the end of the day.

And, not only did Trump and his attorneys not return docs, they said that ALL docs had been returned already (because he said they were his). A likely whistleblower snitched... probably after Trump whipped out the Kim Jong Il letter to show how much he was loved. ?

POTUS can do it pretty much at will.

The issue I have is the "facts" you are referring to seem to change depending on what network is covering it or the politician you are quoting. I am not a lawyer by any means. That's why I said we have two special councils involved now. So before we go around exonerating or condemning the current or former POSU, let's see what the results from the two investigations show.

I’m only a little old Aussie…but why would a Vice President even have access to classified information, never mind being able to handle and remove it?

Most importantly what is it they are trying to hide?

It see,s to me that the people on charge of releasing said information and being held accountable for its safety have the most to answer to

P.S from an outsiders view there seems to be little difference from what Biden did and Trump did (and yes I know one appeared to not want to give the info back…however the other had it fir six years so had probs already made as many copies as he would ever need in that time and was done using it) other than the way they have been treated.
Seemed like a witch hunt for Trump, but a pass for Biden.

As mentioned, I’m an Aussie and couldn’t give a crap about either of them.
Just an outsiders perspective
