My VIN ends in 574. I am assuming this is the 574th car built for 2023. I just spoke to another owner and his is 468. Can anyone confirm this?

Sounds about right but anyone can confirm?
If so, that’s weird as I heard protos will end in 240

That was my thought as well....ending in 240? But doesn't appear to be the case.

I am also very interested in how many were manual and automatics.

I think it was 240/Market.

Remember there is 240 being made JUST for the US, another 170 or so for Aus market, then the Canadians, NZ and a few others. Most likely at least 500 made world wide.
Plus they have been pumping out dealer demos in Australia and media cars .
Sooo, the VIN makes sense to me

There is another thread on here with some VIN spots and break downs. I think you are correct with the car being 574th. JDM has their own unique VINs

the first 240 proto were prob made for japan. say the next 240 made for either canada or aus, i could see where that would put the usa in the 500's

Don't forget there were test mules and media cars built before the Protos went on sale. Those all had to have VIN's also to get registered.

I don't think so. I believe they all had Manufacturer plates on them which usually have perpetual "phantom" registrations of units under a certain time period.

Possibly. But there were VIN's photographed on some of the pre-production cars.

It would be cool if the Proto car VIN sequence was 1 - 240 (or whatever) for each market, but I doubt that will happen.

Makes Sense to me that my car would be 574 build. With all the other markets releases.
