I don't know what it is but the spoiler on this seems to make it look even more like a 300ZX from the rear than the standard version to me.

I am not sure if I like it or not and is probably the only thing I am not sold on for the kit.

Actually I am also not a fan of the exhaust either.

Both are fine with me, but I prefer the standard spoiler. I like the look it gives to the rear quarters by matching the width of the trunk.

The USDM Spec spoiler looks tasteful, but the JDM Proto Spec spoiler looks fantastic - aggressive AF. I get '69 Camaro SS (one of my personal favorite cars) spoiler vibes and some JDM Z32 vibes from it. I will most definitely look to source something that looks like this for an OE+ look. Oh, and count me in with the gray/smoked side markers as well.

The JDM pays homage to the BRE style, I like it, and looks a little more functional. I'd get them if available but hopefully no additional drilling req'd, i.e. mounts to original locations.

Isn't it the same spoiler, but black added to the back?

Are there any official photos of the Z without the spoiler?

Full width spoiler with the black for me.

Hoping with the warm reception of the custom proto, Nissan will use many of these design elements on the Nismo.

Sounds like two possible group buys in the making to me...

no the jdm goes the full length of the rear over the fenders and is taller.

standard is only across the trunk lid and is much shorter.

take a look at the pics above again...
