so im gonna price both the sport and performance models to see what the differences will be with the options i want.

i joined this forum back when all the hearsay was 35k base, 40k mid and 45k top trim.

now we are at 41k + for base and close to 52k for performance. still can't believe they want to charge extra for paint...

what options are you guys wanting?

what can you live without to keep it in your budget?

who's gonna hold out for a possible nismo trim? any guess on pricing?

maybe history can give us a clue, but with the way the economy is...all bets are off.

I don't think there really are any other options.. either you go with Sport trim or Performance trim. Unless you are referring to the accessories like floor mats, Nismo exhaust, etc..?

Lets see...

Z Performance 6MT: $49,990
+ Everest White & Red Leather: $1,295
+ Accessories I Don't Mind:
- Black Metallic Illuminated Kick Plates: $500
- Interior Accent Lighting: $445 (could live without, not sure how it looks)
- Perf Floor Mats: $400 (can't really argue this as aftermarket costs nearly same)
- Perf Trunk Mat: $300
- Wheel Locks : $125
+ Accessories (If I don't get to order and dealer screws me on it, which is 100% likely to happen in NC)
- Splash Guards: $335
- BS Dealer Accessories: $1000
Total Pre Tax: $54,445
Dealer Fees & Tax: $2,527
Total OTD: $56,972

If I can get the Z as close to MSRP as possible, (MSRP+2k MAX) then I'll spring for it, but if not then I'll just wait out for a lightly used (doubtlful price will be lower then new).

In terms of Nismo, I'm 100% certain I'll trade in performance for it when they decide to release it..Unless I am somehow able to pickup GT3/GT4 or R8 prior to that

This is the most realistic pricing I’ve seen too date, even if its an estimate.

I cringe every time I hear a Tuber say you can pick one up for $39K.

My total OTD comes to about $55,700 not including the trade in.

Performance MT
Passion Red
Red interior
Floor mats
Accent lighting*

Might be a bit more if they have a trunk cover option too. I have a limit on the monthly payment so gotta keep it under that barring any ADM shenanigans.

*Might not get the accent lighting but thought it'd be cool even though I haven't seen any examples of it.

As it sits right now; here's my calculation. Not including ANY "dealer addon" options ;p (Canadian Market)

1654268621572.png

Add aftermarket; (not realllly required, but want) Exhaust, Downpipes, Intakes, Heat Exchanger?, Window Tint, Tune, PPF Front end..

Adding up quick. I didn't guestimate the prices of the aftermarket, because I have no idea taxes, shipping and availability as of yet.

seems like a reasonable price to build a nice track car. any idea how much better the lsd would be over stock performance?

oh my gosh. It is night and day. If you don't have an LSD on a road track, you basically parade lapping

I think @jdm-rhd is asking comparison of OEM Performance LSD vs Quaife.

Got to have LSD for track, it’s been a gamechanger for my Z.

Gotcha. Would be premature to automatically swap out a OEM LSD for an aftermarket when no one knows how it really drives or what nannies and Ecu it would conflict with
