Holy, that enhanced gauge view is pretty cool.

I mean, technically it's still a pre-production vehicle, so is it possible Nissan may take into consideration everyone's feedback on this front and find a way to liven it up?

EDIT: Right around 15 minutes you can hear it under load as he pulls out, and it sounds a bit better versus revving in neutral. Gives me a little more hope.

I think the exhaust sounds good, I like quiet exhausts. But, I'm getting older!

I'm sure Nissan will offer an OEM upgrade for it, I have the OEM "Infiniti Sports Exhaust" on my Q60 (VQ37 version) and it is very vocal, borderline as loud as any reputable aftermarket exhaust.

^ Agreed on the sound, for me it seems more than OK as he pulled out, he was barely tapping the accelerator as he left and it could still be heard clearly. I'm reasonably confident that at higher revs and a wider throttle opening it'll be very impressive.

I certainly don't want a standard setup that sounds like the 300Z that left before him! What a racket to live with after the first five minutes of novelty wear off.

I have the same on my Q50. It's as you describe. Vocal, but not obnoxiously so. I had a FX45 before that which had a nice deep note to it. I missed that when bought the Q.

One of my first mods will be a full turbo back.
