The only real problem I have with the Toyota 86 / Subaru BRZ is the silly idea of having to lift the rubber ring to put the manual into reverse. I've driven a few cars that have a similar type of lift-up or push-down system for getting into reverse, and it's just an over-complicated nuisance that isn't necessary.
