The one coming to the U.S. looks like it should be a variant of the Venza instead of a Crown.

Still looks like a boat, like all other full size sedans. I still like the muscular proportions of the fat fendered 300 though.

The crown is FWD. So nope, not same league as the 300. For 14 generations of Crown, it was RWD now it's a Avalon with a rear hatch.

which is such a shame.. crown always was a proper car, people build some pretty cool drift projects, now they turned it into a fat camry

It's like Toyota is making another sub brand but can't let go of "Toyota".
They cheapened the Crown name in the U.S. and made it confusing in Japan.
