Exactly my thoughts. Influencers, and tuning/parts companies appear to be the first of the lot to pick these up. I'm guessing because spare no expense.

I get that they're just the Proto's so far, and they don't care about flipping out the 100k with ADM to be the first Youtuber so they get the content. We called it.

It's kind of a shame for those guys, especially the Aussies who've been "preordered" for over a year and still waiting for a drip of luck, the USA guys who've been in the dark, and practically in a lottery/bid war situation. The Canadians who continue to be also in the dark, and have yet to see a car for retail land on a lot.
And Canadians also has preorders since late Jan/Early Feb....

Exactly what we've been predicting? Influencers getting cars before regular people?
Maybe I should reactivate my facebook, reload my instagram, start a youtube channel and become an influencer. On second thought that's not gonna happen:)

Who's TJ Hunt?
I didn't know either...

https://www.driveandreview.com/tj-hunt-net-worth/

TJ Hunt’s net worth can be determined by looking at his annual revenue in several categories:
  • $1.5 million: Annual Ad revenue from his YouTube videos (amount determined by the fact that each video is viewed an average 300,000 times and each 1000 views being worth $1 – I also take into consideration what other big YouTubers have said about what they earn from similar viewership numbers).
  • $100,000: Annual brand deals and sponsorships (Meguiars, Toyo tires, Roush, and MVMT are just three companies he openly has partnerships with. Note that some of this value comes in the form of products in lieu of cash).
  • $150,000: Annual profit from Hunt&Co merchandise (just wild speculation on my part based on my own personal experience personal brands and e-commerce).
  • $20,000: Annual profit from his Street Hunter brand. This business is still in it’s infancy, and I expect him to be more profitable with it in the future.

why we knocking him? better for him to have it and give some good content then some random paying way over and let it sit in his garage. its pretty obvious content creators were getting the cars first i mean look at how bad of job nissan usa did putting this car out, to handing cars weekly for random youtube channels to delays and delays to is this car even coming out anymore? honestly it feels like the hype train for me died as well as these forums to look for any news. Thanks nissan for a horrible launch and customer service

Don't knock on Nissan so hard; The GR Corolla, Supra, and CTR are going to face the same dilemmas. Supra 6mT might only suffer from crazy markups, but GRCorolla and CTR will both face production and MSRP woes (Same as Nissan). The problem for Nissan is that they stretched the hell out of this 1 year Announcement > Delivery as others are going for >6months from Announcement to deliveries.

Definitely not knocking him, I genuinely didn't know who he is.

If Nissan could deliver the car in meaningful numbers, there'd be no reason for people to get salty about who gets what.....

I subscribe and watch most of his videos. The only big cringe/criticism I'd give him is his general lack of car knowlegede, which is crazy for someone who is a car youtuber lol. Even in this video he admits he doesn't know much about the new Z, I guess at least he owns up to it?

Can I ask what the appeal is? Just skimmed through half a dozen.. I'm not getting it.
