What is the one must have to get you behind the wheel of the new Z? For me, it's a manual. How about you, what is that one thing you can't live without?

Weight in this day and time is a hard due to cost and to many safety regulations have to be.
Manual transmission I feel is definitely going to be. If not that’s going to be a hard pill to swallow. I plan to track my car and a auto WON’T cut it.

I’d like to see
1. Good gear type LSD
2. BBK, six piston monoblock or optional GTR BBK as factory option.
3. Double wishbone suspension
4. Recaro seat options

I mean that list is SOLID.

I would also say rev matching in addition to the manual.

Oh and fucking LEATHER seats for the love of god!!!!

Definitely a manual box, with rev matching - I think that is a given.

Lighter weight - the advantages are obvious, hoping for at least a 300 pound drop, the 370z is a boat anchor. Doable with aluminium and ultra high strength steel, but Nissan may decide it drives the costs too high. I'd much rather have lighter weight than more power.

Better visibility rearward. I know, very unlikely. But please don't go the Supra route and make it worse. And include the electronic substitutes for missing sightlines like BSM and RCTA as standard equipment. A digital rear view mirror like the C8's would be fantastic but probably too much to hope for.

Better seats. The standard seats on the 370 are a bit of a joke; make the Nismo ones standard.

Nice to have, but not deal-killers for me if missing: adaptive suspension, a true e-diff, active exhaust valving..

My one must have is also a manual. I'm pretty basic and old school.

This is one many reasons why I passed on the Zupra. I feel that Toyota did not listen to their base at all. I might have bite if they had a released a base model with the 335hp B58C paired with a MT and some spring suspensions instead of that abomination 4 banger that no one is buying.

Manual is a given, with that rev-match off button.

But....one thing I want in the new Z is for Nissan to fix all the known issues with the 370Z (CSC, brake fade, cooling, VLSD, etc)

Add no lift shifting to that. Twin turbos would really work better if you can shift flat.

The manual transmission is the only real non-negotiable.

I would like to see no spoiler and the katana make it into production though. I would also like the option to have traditional gauges, but that isn't a dealbreaker.

I also wouldn't mind seeing it retain the "Fairlady Z" badge.
