I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere - is Nissan going to stick with a hydraulic power steering system? I loved the steering feel on the 370, wouldn't want to lose that to an EPS setup. But given industry trends I am not hopeful.

The Z35 will have the same hydraulic steering that the Z35 had, it will be a direct carryover - there will be no steer by wire here.

Blind Spot, Auto Cruise, Park Distance, 360 Camera.

We're getting a 370Z with a bodykit and a VR30 motor swap.

Is this based on some insider information? Because as much as I'd love it given the Z's lousy side and rear sightlines, I don''t see the new Z getting a 360 degree camera setup. Those are typically reserved for luxury cars and larger SUVS.

Altimas and Maximas have 360 cams now. Version T package will have all of the bells and whistles.

Since it's basically a 370Z with new skin won't it share same steering rack as the Z34?

He talks about the steering around the 17:40 mark. He also mentions the new Z several times.

That would be good news for VR30 swapped Z34's, I believe all of the ones I've seen haven't come up with a PS solution yet. If it's parts from a Z35 they can get to finish off their swaps, that'd be sweet.

The current info, by no mean should be treated as official, says "electric power steering" rack. That could be interpreted as electric-power-assist steering or steer-by-wire. Supposedly, the Q50 had steer-by-wire at one point!?!

Electric Power Assist and yeah, Q50 has Steer by Wire - it's honestly not so bad.

Well we now know that the steering rack is not hydraulic. A lot of manufacturers have screwed up the transition to EPS, giving drivers uncommunicative, numb and lifeless steering. Let's hope Nissan has learned from others' mistakes.
