I remember showing a pic that detailed the grill under the camo.

They just taped there because that's where the support beam is under the grill, no impedance to airflow.

I'm with you bud. Also a last minute redesign would be stupidly expensive. If I recall correctly a few years back one of the German automakers did a last minute redesign on the taillights because it look to similar to another car that was unveiled a few months prior and it ended up costing an arm and a leg.
