It is as many in the thread point out, an effort to undercut Tesla and establish Ford as a leader in the space, however I'm all for it, and hope other brands catch on.

Realize the hurdles in between this becoming the norm (lobbying, etc.) but it will definitely help to see such an auto juggernaut swing their weight around in such a manner.

Pre-COVID, I negotiated a low price at the dealership, after a few hours of haggling. Fixed price will probably hurt anyone up for haggling.

On the other hand, fixed price will help with ADMs, depending how much in reality the dealer is cut out from adding extras. But it could also allow manufacturers to simply raise prices, and customers will have no option to adjust the price.

So basically, not sure where I stand with this, lol.
