Guys.

I'm not an Infiniti guy, but it is my understanding that the Z engine is the same one that is in the Q60 red sport.

If true those companies will likely offer a Z tune very soon right?

Any of you have tune on your Q60 red sport?

If so, which and how reliable is car with tune?

Well no one will really know 100% for sure if the car is tunable until they get into the ECU and see if it's locked or not. I doubt it will be locked though because Z culture and JDM culture in general is all about aftermarket modding/tuning and Nissan knows this. Also just be aware tuning is never 100% reliable. Nothing is more reliable than a stock car and if your engine would happen to fail in some way, warranty will NOT cover it. The VR30DDTT can be tuned reliably and it's always best to have at least some supporting intake mods and exhaust mods to get the most out of a tune. So that being said, the go to and best is Ecutek. Tuning is not exactly cheap either, just a tune alone you're probably looking at close to $1200+ depending if you use a shops dyno or do remote tune. There is also something available called a JB4 chip tune which kind of the cheaper and easier way to tune your car. It is a simple plug-and-play device.

Also if you decide to tune your car you should find a reputable shop that has a history and knowledge of the VR30DDTT platform. Do not take your car to some random tuning shop, you will regret it down the road.
