Hello Dan & Nissan Team,

Thank you again for taking the time to answer (hopefully all) of our questions!

Could you describe the structural improvements made to the new "Z" chassis? Has the chassis been stiffened... is there greater use of lightweight and/or stronger construction material. Moreover, could you describe how these new changes translate to improving the driving dynamics of the vehicle?

Congratulations on the Launch!!

Hey Dan, thanks for your involvement with the community we all really appreciate it!

What are the wheel/tire sizes (with offsets) for the New Z? In a perfect world I was going to get a set of gen1 370z nismo wheels for a second set to use at the track.

When will we get an online configuration/build and price tool? That would give some of us something to play around with before the real car is available in the showroom.

I’m an older man in my 60’s and can afford just about anything. So:

1). Can I spec order a Z from the factory? Or will it be take what they make? Where is Nissan’s loyality to it’s customers like real sports car makers?
2). Interior leather colors?
3). Rear wing or spoiler options?
4). Alloy wheel options?
5). Where will the side markers be unless they are shown during the reveal?
6). How many Z’s will be made for the 22 production model year?

There will be so many of these on the road like the Mustang, Camaro, and Challengers and mine would be left stock and a garage queen. Therefore, not sure if this is what I really want since I already have a nice showroom garaged Z that is basically the same car except the engine and a new exterior.
Otherwise, will wait for the Nismo to see what that will be like. Possibly the GT-R in 2023….Since I’m still loyal to the brand is worth at least a look.

Firstly…thanks for all the information to date

2nd I know the reveal is mainly centred around the US market, but it is a world reveal right? ..so my question to you is. If there are going to be different trim levels, will they also be available in Australia and if not which one will we be getting?
And of course price and when they will be in the showroom?
Thanks heaps!

Also who are all these people asking question? for months half of you have not said a thing….now you decide to come out of the woodwork …lol

I'm going to assume some of these get answered during the reveal but incase not:

1. What is the 0-60 MPH time?

2. Is the silver 'katana' an option we can opt out of?

3. Is the carbon fiber from the Proto making it to production?

4. Will we have the option to choose from multiple caliper colors?

5. Will we have the option to choose bronze wheel color?

6. Will heads-up display be an option?

7. What automatic transmission is being used? How many gears?

8. How much will the new Z weigh, roughly?

9. Will blindspot sensors be an option?

What is the pricing? Are orders being taken? How much for a deposit if so? Please confirm carbon fiber kit. Also will other body colors have corresponding interior seat trim color like the Z Proto? Also, is there a waiting list for ordering? I’d like to order please.

also, can they elaborate on trim packages. What is standard? Confirmation on S, T, and ST packages.

Will Carbon Fiber be available on the steering wheel in place of that gloss black which I’m not too much of a fan of?

Oh, I thought of another question. Why isn't the new Z coming to Europe? With the smaller engine displacement you would think the pricing would be more friendly over there. Lastly, does this mean that Nissan is pulling out of the sport cars segment altogether for the European market?

I got another one. Earlier on there were a lot of reporting on a joint project between Mercedes and Nissan for a SLK and Z replacement. Were these rumors true or was it just something that the click-bait media made up?

Hey Dan, how bad will the new Z rape the Zupra by?
I got the most "likes". They better use my question. :p

Now for some serious questions.

How important was it for Nissan to keep development of the Z35 in house? I'm sure you guys could have taken the easily route and underpin a Z on a Mercedes platform like with the Crossfire and Challenger.

How long of a life cycle is Nissan predicting for the Z35?

Is there anything from the GTR that trickled down to the new Z?

It seems that the new Z is gunning for the Zupra. How did Nissan employees reacted when they learned that such an iconic nameplate was being outsource to the Germans? Circling back, did all the negative backlash on the BMW and Toyota partnership play a role in deciding to keep the R&D of the Z in house?
