Petition: Where’s my Z

• Maximum wait for first coupe deliveries (eta)
• Total vehicles avail per month
• What manufacturer compensation is available for all pre order customers who have been waiting well past "mid 2022"

At least in the US, things are on the local level. Nissan Corporate has nothing to do with ordering/deposits.

+1 on vehicle availability. For me this is the ballgame:
1) Actual production per market
2) Planned production per market
3) Max production capacity per market

That tells me how serious Nissan is about producing this vehicle, and indicates if I'm waiting months or years for a Z at MSPR.

People who call it "400Z" are displaying an extreme level of ignorance.
Never, ever, did Datsun, Nissan, refer to the Z with an arbitrary numbering system. From day 1, in the USA, the numbers preceding Z have been a representation of the displacement. There was even 2 gens of "300ZX". Because....well because they both had 3000cc engines.
What's so difficult to understand about that? Technically, the new Z would've been called "300Z", if we were to stick to the thoroughly established tradition. Dropping the "X" would have been enough. I think Nissan calls it simply "Z" to avoid back-pedaling the name, and a nod to the end of line.

The idiots of today, let's call them the "extinction generation", think they can will into existence facts using social media. Where TF did "400" come from I don't know, but I suppose the ignorance of 400>370 or 400HP is where it came from.

It's like the morons who refer to the latest Ford 7.3 as "Godzilla". Hello!!? There's a car still in production that was named Godzilla first. And WTF does a Japanese icon have to do with Ford?

I was going to post this rant in the thread dedicated to those who have bailed out, but I can't find it.

Nissan sucks. I try to be empathetic with the circumstances, but would it surprise anyone if tomorrow we woke up to the news that Nissan folded?

My local dealership has basically no, or insignificant inventory. Either Nissan hates them or Nissan is unable to manufacture anything. I suppose that the latter is true.

My wife thinks I'm insane. I made our household watch the official Z reveal, and that seems like more than a year ago.

I have saved my money so I could buy one with cash. There's no Z to buy and I hear that dealers have become so arrogant as to reject cash buyers in favor of financed buyers. Then there's the inevitable ADMs.

So, I did everything "right" I saved my money. I watched the Nissan official reveal. I got excited. Now I'm left with what?

Where's the reasonable updates? I can understand if Nissan communicates to us that they may be facing significant challenges. Why can't they fucking level with us?

I told y'all that the reveal video showed the Z driving in obvious fall weather. That seemed cynical enough. Now I can clearly see, even this winter, aside from a few ugly ass Protos (sorry 71Zman, chock it up to jealousy) we're not getting shit. I'd be fine with honest communication.

Again, at this point, it wouldn't surprise me to hear that Nissan folded.

You want frustration? Several months from now, while still waiting for one Z, some dude will be posting photos of "his & her" Z's. Or even a third Z, purchased for his teen daughter.

If the messed up Ford Bronco scene is any guide, that and more rubbish is coming to Z-land, so get ready, lol.

I’m feeling you…today I went and looked at a Mercedes. Only downfall is it’s an auto
It’s not a pure sports car like the Z, but if I don’t have a definite date for delivery by November, I’m out and I’ll buy what I looked at today
Enough enough, especially after taking a 5k deposit a year and a half ago. I mean I know interest rate is crap from the bank, but it’s sure as heck better than nothing, and better that being in someone else’s pocket
