Nissan Z35 will get new twin turbo V6 engine from Q60 coupe?

I've been posting this all over other threads but for anyone who hasn't seen the news, the Infiniti Q60 concept (successor to the G coupe) was announced with a new twin power 3-liter V6 engine capable of up to over 500hp/tq when paired with hybrid system.

We could very well be looking at the next Z (z35) engine if Nissan continues to share engines between the Z and G (now Q) cars!

It's virtually certain that this will be the engine for the Z35. The Z and G cars have shared the same engine since 2002-2003 (350Z and G35).

True but there's rumors Nissan wants to really downsize the next Z so it might lose its V6 engine, or add a 4 cylinder turbo in addition to the V6.

Hope that this new engine has more refinement than the VQ which pulls like hell but doesn't feel nor sounds particularly good.

That's pretty impressive and would make sense. I don't think Nissan has it in them from a business stand point to build a whole new engine just for the next Z.

Good. Anyone know what the code for this engine is? Is it still a "VQ" labeled engine?
