This is what I think. It's just being trademarked to protect their intellectual property in the US and sell official merchandise. Or maybe there will be a Fairlady package for the launch. I'd be surprised if all of a sudden they decided to change the official name to the Fairlady Z in the states.

If Nissan intended to use it on the Z wouldn't it have been filled under "automotive"? However it does also says "ornamental badges of precious metal". Maybe it could go either way?

hopefully that means we can all purchase 6 inch gold plated z badged necklaces.

look forward to seeing all of us wearing unbuttoned hawaiian shirts with that golden emblem nested in our chest hairs...
