Should be just Nissan Z for the US.I thought it was just going to be called Nissan Z in the US????
Also maybe to keep aftermarket companies from making and selling knock off Fairlady Z badges.Should be just Nissan Z for the US.
I also saw today that Ford trademarked "Skyline" in the US
This is what I think. It's just being trademarked to protect their intellectual property in the US and sell official merchandise. Or maybe there will be a Fairlady package for the launch. I'd be surprised if all of a sudden they decided to change the official name to the Fairlady Z in the states.its so they can sell us stuff aka/ex star wars action figures, kiss coffins, happy meals and such.
anything you can put that name on. heck, if i don't buy one, i'll at least get the shirt.
great money play on their part, nissan needs all they can get...
hopefully that means we can all purchase 6 inch gold plated z badged necklaces. If Nissan intended to use it on the Z wouldn't it have been filled under "automotive"? However it does also says "ornamental badges of precious metal". Maybe it could go either way?
