I think the auto is just a bit better for highway cruising. I forget the ratios exactly, but I recall the last couple of gears being overdrives in the Auto. Seems pretty close for city/suburban driving.Surprised at the higher overall fuel economy of the auto. I've not owned an auto before, but I thought it would've been more economical.
Clearly not though.
Honestly that does seem like low fuel economy for cars today. My F-150 hybrid gets 18mpg and my A90 Supra was averaging 27mpg when I daily drove it (highest has been 30mpg on a 3 hour drive at 80mph). I know we don't buy sports cars for fuel economy, but for those daily driving it wouldn't hurt.Surprised at the higher overall fuel economy of the auto.
