You ever consider replacing the stock heat exchangers for something like the AMS units to get a blacked out look? I imagine they’re easier to maintain aesthetically too

Alternatively I wonder if the stock units could be ceramic/powder coated w/o impacting heatsinking functionality 🤔, for those who don’t like the polished look

possibly yea. for me personally Im not really interested in swapping anything out. the intercooler tops really arnt meant for show as the metal just doesnt have a finished look to it.

My engine bay is soon going to be used for some NISMO product promotion so I wanted to clean it up a bit for that

This is what I was initially dealing with

I also just realized the nismo cover also exposes part of the coolant line that the OEM covers up which is also a more bright polished look in the center when you look at the engine straight on

Yeh I could see how they wouldn’t be very “pretty” from factory since the stock cover hides them; Would be nice if the NISMO USA team added a heat exchanger swap to go with the rest of product line, or at least a cover kit

You really did clean em up nicely tho! Definitely one of the nicest looking VR30 engine bays. Now all ya need is a NISMO strut tower bar & intakes to complete the look 😄

For the cold air intakes I will probably eventually get them as I'm keeping this car long term. Right now I have the new K&N drop ins i just spent a hundred bucks on lol

Im debating the NISMO street exhaust down the road too because ive seen that the tips stick out a bit more. The problem with the OEM performance exhaust being used on the NISMO is the bodywork is extended which makes the tips look a little too recessed.

Hopefully that's something the JDM NISMO exhaust that they are working on, will address.

Hey MCN1SMO, to avoid making a new thread for this question I was wondering if you could let me know how it looks like the little wheel well flares are attached?

Trying to figure out if they would fit on a regular model and if it would be reasonably easy to do so.

The blue with those black flares may be kinda cool.

Thanks!

Awesome! That's exactly what I was hoping. Looks like it would be simple enough.

Now to find out the part number and where to get some!

Oh yea thats pretty slick. Did the source of that image happen to mention where they got theirs?
That is a Nismo parts demo car from Japan. Nismo has been putting them on their cars as accessories for a while now

Oh nice so I can probably just get them from Nissan easily enough. Thanks for the answers as always!
