After I paid my deposit my final price populated per salesperson. OMG. 65k for a Z seems insane! What else could I buy for that amount? Is it worth it?? Thoughts?

Wow, low taxes.

Even if we can get a Z at MSRP, our 11% sales tax would put us in the mid-60's for a Z Performance

7% sales tax in Indiana...among the lower taxes in the US:) And we have 6.1 Billion surplus in the bank:)

It wouldn't be worth it for me, because I'm not as into the Z as others and won't get enough enjoyment, and am actually contemplating dialing back or leaving the car hobby for a while. But might be worth it for you.

Anyway it's the way things always were going to go with this vehicle initially. I'm interested in Nissan's planned output of Zs, and to see how long the burn down takes to MSRP and eased availability.

$65k is fucking laughable. In 1-2 years when these are being sold used for under $45k. I'll be waiting. 😂
I hate to be the guy defending paying ADM. Because I hate ADM, and the whole concept of a "fast pass" society.

But ... a lifetime is finite, and two years is two years. So there is something to be said for maybe paying more, to have the next two years with the vehicle. But only if the owner is going to get a lot out of the vehicle.

For everyone else, the most you can hope is that Nissan actually plans to produce a relatively large number of Zs. (Something I've been pessimistic about.) Because if Nissan doesn't, then we could be looking at years of constrained supplies and higher then typical prices.

19k more than my 21 I am not even sure if I have 19 in the tracks mods

Hopefully, once all the initial crazy-ness dies down and Nissan actually starts making them more than 100 at a time the prices will come back to a "normal"

I want to see them on the track. But i can't imagine someone paying this premium and then putting another XX$ in track mods- at that point you are waaaaay over a 1LE and right in the middle of a BUNCH of really good new and used track cars.

Paying $65k is similar to how many have paid $10k+ on other vehicles. I personally know 3+ people who have paid more then $6k+ MSRP on USED Supra's, and $10k-$20k for the new Bronco (neighbor paid $80k for 4door Bronco Wildtrak).

From the select few who are on the forums we'll def try to pay at or less then MSRP, but that'll be near impossible in the current environment...

$49k is for the dream; $60k is reality
Fact is I have a really good relationship with this dealership and the salesperson. I was told they are at 1% of Normal inventory so they are just trying to make it up anywhere else they can. In fact they originally wanted to add 5k worth of dealer add on's called performance package (bullshit) they removed this after I told them there is no way in Hell I would take a Limited edition proto spec with dealer BS add on's. Sounded like they are hurting financially...but no one cares about car dealership anyway right!
