Exactly.....so cannot use the federal money as cash down on the purchase because it is a tax credit at the end of the year....And do not know what thgat number is until you do your taxes.Sorry, have clarified, when I said owed, I meant owed them for the year, not what you already paid in or the difference of what you are getting back or still owe. We are talking the same thing.
In theory....that's what you are basing this on......wrong.....and also your theory says starting in 2024....Last I checked it is now 2022........so as I said now as in now cannot use tax credit for anything but a tax credit not cash to buy down price of an EV.........THIS IS NOT TOO TOUGH TO FOLLOW....And simple as can be..........And for now the new law has taken away the Federal tax credit anyway so pointless conversation.Starting in 2024, a new mechanism would essentially turn the tax break into a point-of-sale discount on the price of new and used electric vehicles. Consumers wouldn't have to wait to file their taxes to reap the financial benefit — the savings would be immediate.
Here's how the mechanism works: The Inflation Reduction Act lets a buyer transfer their tax credit to a car dealer. A dealer — which must register with the U.S. Department of the Treasury — would get an advance payment of the consumer's tax credit from the federal government.
In theory, the dealer would then provide a dollar-for-dollar break on the car price, Levin said. He expects dealers to use the funds as a buyer's down payment, which would reduce the upfront cash necessary to buy a car. Some negotiating may be involved on the consumer's part, he added.
These transfers apply to new and used cars purchased starting Jan. 1, 2024.
damages happen alot at the train yard or the port those people do not give a fuck about your cars when are unloading, funny enough i just got a call that one of my guys picking up his tesla load says every car from the yard has the front bumper scratchedPerformance model. AT. 20k+ markup, color listed as boulder gray when it's gun metallic, and it was damaged during transport but I doubt they'll disclose it to their customers.
Am I taking crazy pills? Dealerships are scum.
So basically they'll sell their showroom car if you're really desperate, but they'd really rather have it themselvesCar has been sitting in their showroom for about a week.. they're asking for a $15k markup lmaooo
I would offer them max $5K over … WITH free shipping to CA AND manual trans swap! Love the color
Got to see a Z for the first time ever in person. Car has been sitting in their showroom for about a week.. they're asking for a $15k markup lmaooo. No wonder no one has bought it yet. But figured might as well post it lol. Plus i think it's a long shot that there's any one from Hawai'i on this forums who hasn't heard about it. Pretty small island.
Has anyone bought a new Z in SoCal yet beside TJI would offer them max $5K over … WITH free shipping to CA AND manual trans swap! Love the color
