its on mine too. im not in a hurry to get it fixed as im trying to delete the poppers to begin with. it does seem from the wording of the recall it they still work which is unfortunate.

there is a resistor kit you can buy to keep the dash light coming on from when you unplug them.

its a terrible feature of the car and can really cause the owner $ and heartache if they deploy

The recall isn't clear about exactly what the improper function is, but I think it may be related to over-sensitivity.

I wish it was under sensitivity. I read the recall more like it was under sensitivity honestly. my interpretation is its under calculated for impact. If it were over sensitive the wording to me would read more like it could go off inadvertently

not sure just me take

As a result, the pop-up hood may not operate normally in the event of a collision with a pedestrian, and in the worst case scenario, the pedestrian head protection standards may not be met in the event of a collision with a pedestrian.

Nissan has really screwed up this hood pooper thing. They should just offer to disable them. First we had the "bumper" recall for the the darn things. I put that one off so long that I finally received a phone call from corporate, offering to help me schedule an appointment! I told them I certainly didn't need any help with scheduling an appointment. Not going to be in a hurry on this one either.

Hoping I dont have it. I keep telling my local dealer to fuck off regarding the bumper torque adjustment recall or whatever that thing is lol. I already fixed it when installing my heat exchanger.

Cool, I'm glad there's a problem with them deploying. Now I don't have to spend the money for the plug in resistors to disable them!

Do you know where to get this resistor kit? Thank you.

A few options. Saw a guy fabricate some for about $10 as it's just a generic resistor you stick in the plug

A few Japanese retailers sell them

There was a Facebook group buy on a version of these for around $100

But these work also

Of course the MyNissan app forgot my credentials, so I had to spend a bunch of time digging up my password, but once I found a few minutes to do that: Boom! (No hood popper pun intended.) Affects my car with a Dec 2022 build date.
