Since the Z is coming out, the 370z is not even talked about. 2020 sold close to 2000, 2021 sold 37.

I know for a fact, 100% positive mark up will happen. Very far and few in between dealers will sell it at msrp. At $30k, the 370z sounds like a steal. I also did some searching, prices are still dropping. Anyone getting a 370z instead of the Z? A simple turbo kit will perform close/better or identical to the Z without breaking the bank.

Not in Aus they are not …Nismo can still be bought for 67 000 and a 370z will set you back 52 000 for dealer Demos
if you want one new, it’s still possible…73 000 for the Nismo 59 990 for a 370z
Now if a new Z comes in at 70k your looking at almost even stevens between a newZ and a 2021 Nismo.
Given the new Z tech, interior and safety upgrades, and that it will most likely be the last of the Zs i would say most would like the Z hands down….the only exception may be those who intend to use it for track rather than daily commute. But as previously discussed we believe 10% at most would see the track

I'm watching the launch price of the Z in AUS closely because I still think the 370z offers good value, not to mention the possibility of picking up a second hand car with a few years of depreciation on it. I think I could live with the VQ37 as is, but the interior would be a bigger issue for me. It's very dated and I'd have to consider the cost (and effort) of trying to modernise it.

Value isn't always about money.

I've been in position to buy a new Z for a couple years now, but I've held off basically because the car was so dated, especially the interior.

While I may be able to find a gently used 370Z for less money, I find value in the upgraded interior and safety features, not to mention the powertrain improvements on the new Z.

Even if the 370Z offers a better “financial bargain”, the new Z offers a substantially better “emotional bargain” IMHO.

As a 370Z owner of over 2 years I can tell you the 370Z is definitely not going to be a better bargain.

- Interior is dated, this is a fact. Personally, I don't mind the interior much, I bought the car because I enjoy driving it. But have a digital dash and infotainment with apple car play/android auto is so, so much nicer.
- Better and more safety/tech features across the board.
- The performance won't even be close stock to stock and if you go turbo/twin turbo/supercharge on the 370Z you aren't going to have the reliability of a factory twin turbo the new Z will have. Also the cost of any reputable twin super/supercharge kit is gonna range from $8k-$11k+ just for the kit alone. Count in install fees, tuning, other mods needed the cost is gonna be creeping up to $45k all in, which at that point you may as well spend the extra money to get the new Z.
- Both manual and automatic transmissions are updated and far better for the new Z.

Personally I plan on trading my 370Z in for the new Z in roughly a year after release to avoid these stupid marks up and I'm sure I won't regret it at all.

Automatic? Burn it...lol
It's not my cup of tea, but just posting it in case someone really still wants a new one. I don't want another 370z anyway and besides the fact that it's not a MT and probably a base, 211 miles on it being sold as new is a deal-breaker. That probably sounds pretty picky for a 4-5 year old "new" car, but ?

Even the V2 Nismo which is closest in hp 350 vs 400 on Autotrader, low mileage Nissan dealer CPOs, are still $45-54K, not bargains. Really the only two things I want from that car are the Recaros and ....maybe the V1 wheels.

Just because the shop sells yesterday’s leftover, stale donut for a dime doesn’t make it a better value than spending a dollar to get today’s hot fresh melt in your mouth donut.

no thank you to that outdated interior that looks like from the early 2000s

Finding a gently used 2009-2011 370Z was a hell of a deal pre Covid. (10-15k)

IMO the jump to the current Z is worth the 10k over the 370.

Same suspension but "improved", Motor, Interior, Features, Updated lighting.

You think the Z isn’t reusing 370z interior? ?
