M240i is enticing but may be almost twice as expensive as the Z. Basically a luxurious 2+2 Supra.

The car has... some very strange angles, the rear haunches seem at odds with the rest of the car's design.

And supposedly its gained nearly 200 lbs in xDrive form? So now a 2 series will weigh about as much as a base Challenger?

Here are some live shots. Personally I'm not a fan, and the lack of a MT is an easy pass for me. To me they have once again made some bizarre design choices, and the result is an overall derpy looking car. If this was debadged and you take away the kink and kidneys, I don't think anyone recognizes this as a BMW.

I'm sure the G87 will look better but all these cars, let alone an M car, being built in SLP for the US is a turn off for me.

Wow that looks like a cheap knock off you get off of eBay. Maybe it will look better in press pics and in real life, but idk.

It will probably grow on you over time like with most new designs. I didn't like the G29 Z4 until I saw a few in person. Sometimes pictures just doesn't do the car any justice.

Their grills and ego sure are growing over time. I'll never warm up to the G22/42/80/82/87. The only one that looks ok is the G20, and they probably screwed that up with the LCI.

I agree though that pictures don't do certain cars justice. I like cars that photograph well and look even better in person. It's awesome when you see one for the first time and knew it looked good but not that damn good.
