The only color that looks good on these is black, to hide all those hideous design elements!

I love it. You can load up the M240 with nice options and arrive at a price less than a 3.0 Supra. The B58 engine is both incredibly powerful and fuel efficient.

C/D TEST RESULTS
60 mph: 3.6 sec
100 mph: 9.1 sec
1/4-Mile: 12.1 sec @ 114 mph
130 mph: 16.2 sec
Results above omit 1-ft rollout of 0.2 sec.
Rolling Start, 5–60 mph: 5.0 sec
Top Gear, 30–50 mph: 2.4 sec
Top Gear, 50–70 mph: 3.0 sec
Top Speed (mfr's claim): 155 mph
Braking, 70–0 mph: 153 ft
Braking, 100–0 mph: 307 ft
Roadholding, 300-ft Skidpad: 0.94 g
It's impressive. Couple weeks ago I saw that one ran a 3.88 0-60 and a 7.80 1/8 on the street. Not a fan of the looks, but if it was offered in manual and built in Germany it would be easier to get over what I don't like about the styling.

G87 M2 should be an absolute rocket given these results.

Sat in one of these xdrive in Nov. It's a pretty quick non M car. The ZF transmission is buttery smooth. It's quite expensive for a non M car though.

One cool feature is the kidney grille and intakes on the bumper are motorised..Opens and close as it needs based on engine temp and needs.

Although M cars are about much more than 0-60 and 1/4 mile times, I'm fascinated to see if BMW can actually make the new M2 faster to 60 mph than the M240i since it's confirmed that the M2 won't come in xDrive and the M240i only comes in xDrive with auto. My guess is that they'll market the M2 with a 0-60 time of 3.8-3.9 seconds which will be closer to independent testing results.

They market the M240i as 0-60 in 4.1 but Car and Driver did it in 3.6. The base (RWD) G82 M4 is marketed as 0-60 in 4.1 as well and C&D did it in 3.8, so the M240i is already faster to 60 and only 0.1 seconds slower in the 1/4 while weighing 41 pounds more according to BMW's specs than the M4. The M4 did the 1/4 in 12.0 @ 121 mph and M240i in 12.1 @ 114 mph. Additionally, the F87 M2 CS did 0-60 in 3.9 seconds and the 1/4 in 12.1 @ 120 mph.

While it's no surprise that AWD is faster to 60 than RWD, this will just be the first time that I can think of where the non-M car has the chance to be faster (at least to 60 MPH) than its M counterpart, or at the very least have the smallest straight line performance gap between the two. It is a pretty unique circumstance though since we know one only comes in AWD and the other will only be offered with RWD.

New M240i parked next to the outgoing M2 CS. Not really a fair comparison since it's a F87 (and top trim at that) vs the G42, but I think this is the first time that I've seen them together:
