"The most talked-about vehicles in the 24hr endurance race this weekend are these two Nissan Z Racing Concepts. We're about to see how the New Z stacks up against the competition. The class they'll run in is a non-competitive category for special racing vehicles and focuses solely on developing...
But MT probably visited the proving grounds to see the Z prototype sometime recent, and at well into the pandemic period. So maybe it can be assumed that the Spring 2021 estimate already factors the pandemic delays so far?
Seems the square mouth is the biggest universal criticism so far. I think they can easily improve on it by breaking up that huge gaping rectangular black area by adding some canndards or fins extending inwards from the sides of the air inlet. Maybe someone can photoshop that.
I don't mind a little parts bin recycling as long as they're not major panels or features. Those things you mentioned are cool with me. The 400Z's overall design is more than worthy of a different model name than the 370Z.
The completely rectangle mouth though is one exterior styling element...
Got the email from this site today and thought it was a joke because I thought the next Z had become vaporware.
But man this thing looks sweet even just in silhouette form. Headlights totally remind me of the first gen 240Z and so does the badge on the roof pillar. Roofline looks similar to the...
What is the one must have to get you behind the wheel of the new Z? For me, it's a manual. How about you, what is that one thing you can't live without?

Just don't add any more weight, but add more power, better brakes, even faster...
I'd like to see that too. It could take on an single iconic name like "Supra" or "GT-R". Those cars never have and will never need # nomenclature attached to its name.
Figured the internet would've blown up by now if there was something shown but thanks for reporting back. It looks like we are in for a long wait. I just wish we had any indication that a new model is coming anytime within the next few years. Then I can at least plan how long I need to wait.
No Z35 concept at NY show as expected :(
But Honda showed the Civic concept and also announced Type-R for the US finally. It's no Z but that was probably the most exciting thing announced at the show.
3200 pounds is excellent nowadays anyways. If the car does shrink a bit then it'll be even lighter than that. I think it's mostly online bench racers who really care about weight so fanatically. Always calling for carbon fiber this and carbon fiber that. My E46 M3 weighs 3,400 pounds and...
