As it turns out, the unit they sent me IS the V2 so I won't have to send it in for exchange after all.

I actually have this one and it's not bad, it has a heat sink attached to the bottom side of the built in charging puck but it still gets pretty hot but that's every one I've tried.

True, just hope to get clarification soon.

I'd like to know the difference, I have the V1 brand new still in box. I'm still within the 30 day return period if the V2 is an actual upgrade from the V1.
