do you see a difference in audio when in carplay if you are on a map vs on the "now playing" screen?

After a bit of tinkering, I notice the audio issues are only apparent if i have maps open (with navigation active). If I change the screen in CarPlay to "now playing" there is no issue. Also I learned that you can reboot the head unit by holding the power button for about 15 seconds.
